Recovery Is Courageous Work
There are many ways to define or describe "recovery." Here's one that I live by: Recovery is the courageous work of learning to trust oneself again. This includes trusting our bodies and feeding them, our choices, emotions, sensations, and basic needs. From there, we learn to trust our ability to be in relationships, set boundaries, and be in the world in various capacities and in ways that align with who we are at our core.
What courageous ways are you learning to trust again?
