Workshop for Caregivers Supporting Loved Ones Through Eating Disorders

For all the caregivers out there, fiercely loving your person/people through eating disorder recovery, this workshop is for you. This 2-hour workshop, led by Stephanie Affinito (yoga teacher, college professor, and mother of a daughter with an eating disorder), is for any caregiver who is looking for support, guidance, inspiration and community.

We’ll explore the powerful combination of reading, writing, and restorative yoga to support caregivers’ mental and physical health through particular passages and books that bring knowledge and comfort, particular yoga poses that relax the body, and particular notebook prompts that release stress and offer hope.

The workshop includes:

  • Discussion about the role that reading, writing and yoga can play in supporting caregiver wellness.

  • A short reading, a gentle yoga practice, and time to journal around a relevant theme for caregivers.

  • A space for connection, conversation, and community with other caregivers supporting loved ones through eating disorders.

  • A list of suggested books and journal prompts to use in your daily life as catalysts for caregiving wellness to support you on your journey.

The workshop will take place on Friday, April 25 from 11 AM to 1 PM EST. Joining the live session on Zoom is encouraged. Participating via the recording is also an option. The recording of the workshop and resources provided will be available to all participants.

Tuition: $35
